I had this one dream that was wild. I was married to a woman and we were staying at this old manor house in what I assume was England with our young son. They had a room with old toys for the children to play and there were other families. It was lit by a large fireplace. My wife was pissed me because I was being distant, and I was being distant because I was talking to another man and sneaking off to the bathroom to talk with him. Well she and I got into a fight and I decided to go to bed early. I went into the room we were staying in to brush my teeth. It’s hard to describe but the bathroom and the sleeping area was on a second story and it made like a box corridor above a sitting area that you could take a spiral staircase down to. So the open bathroom was completely visible to the sleeping area on the other side. I’m sitting there brushing my teeth and I glance over to the bed area and there is man standing by the railing in front of the bed watching me. I started yelling and pointing to the door. “Get the fuck out. This is not your room. Get out” He continued to stare at me and then slowly started to walk to the door. I felt shaken and totally violated. Then my wife came in and I told her what happened and we were both shook. Then we heard the door on the bedroom side start to creak and we could see this very long boney arm creeping through the door and opening it. Then this figure that looked like slender man started coming through the door and creeping around the corridor to us. We started to freak out and ran out the door on the bathroom side. We grabbed my keys on the way out and started running to grab our son from the children’s play area. When we got there the staff watching the kids were acting different than they were before. It’s like they knew about the man in my room and the slender man and were angry that we were running away. “You can’t just take your son from us. He is playing. The other kids won’t understand.” I yelled, “We are leaving” and I ran into the room and grabbed my son and we started running down the hall. We could hear the staff telling someone that we were getting away. Everything was dark and the huge manor house was only lit by fireplaces and candlelight. Every shadow felt like something was going to reach out and grab us. Then I woke up because you got up to use the bathroom. I got up too and when I laid back down and fell back asleep the dream resumed. Now we were in the car. The reason I say it was England is because I was driving on the right side of the car. The streets were very old and there was no light. Everything was pitch black. There appeared to be pasture land on either side of the road with stone pasture walls framing in the street. We came to an old wooden bridge which had a large pole with a lantern on the top illuminating the bridge. There was a tall man standing on my side of the bridge just off the road. He was wearing a hat and a cloak and was holding a large metal rod of some sort. He looked like the shadow man I saw. As I approached the bridge he ran up to the car and the car stalled. I was pressing the gas full force and the car wasn’t moving. He started to try to open the door but it was locked. I yelled “he’s trying to open the door” but I couldn’t get the words out but I could feel myself saying it in waking life. (That’s why I asked you if I had said anything in my sleep)… the car started to slowly move over the bridge and I could hear and feel him hitting the car with his metal rod. We were all screaming. Then I woke up because you were saying goodbye to me.
